'Real Housewife' Michaele Salahi's 'Kidnapping': Another Publicity Stunt?

'Real Housewife' Michaele Salahi's 'Kidnapping': Another Publicity Stunt? When it comes to telling the truth, Michaele Salahi of "The Real Housewives of DC" isn't exactly the first person that comes to mind.

After all, we're talking about a woman who rose to fame (if you want to call it that) by gate-crashing a White House party, then got kicked out of "Celebrity Rehab" because she wasn't addicted to anything. Lying about needing drug rehab in order to get on TV? That's pretty low.

But the latest stunt from Michaele Salahi and her husband Tareq is perhaps even more shocking.

Tareq made a public announcement that Michaele had gone missing, and that he needed everyone's help to find her. Michaele was found later by TMZ, who reported that the "Real Housewives" star was in Memphis, and had run off with the guitarist for the band Journey.

There are two possible explanations here: either Tareq honestly thought she was missing and Michaele is a horrible person for not giving her husband some kind of notice that she was, in fact, leaving him for a guitarist and not dead by the side of the road somewhere; or both of them were in on it and both Michaele and Tareq are horrible people for using a missing persons report, something that many families have had to file for actual reasons and often with horrifying results, to get a little more time in the spotlight.

Either way, one thing is clear: Michaele Salahi is a horrible person.

Thus, now that Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have been rendered mostly obsolete by their bankruptcy, I hereby nominate Tareq and Michaele Salahi as the Official Reality TV Couple We Should All Hate With Every Fiber Of Our Being.
